Two weeks ago, the Yankees had HOPE (Helping Others Persevere and Excel) Week. On 7/22, the honoree was a man with ALS who attended the game that night with his wife, 4-year-old son, and his parents and in-laws. When his wife was interviewed, she said that Mr. Murray had maintained a positive attitude and was determined to fight the disease. Unfortunately, ALS is not a disease that can be fought, only endured. He died last night.
